Jon Olsson Taking Offers for his PPI Audi R8 Razor GTR

One of the most unusual – and most intriguing – Audi R8s in the world is available for purchase.

Professional skier Jon Olsson has apparently decided to sell his one-off PPI Audi R8 Razor GTR, the carbon fiber beauty that he took delivery of earlier this year. In a short blog post, Olsson said that he misses the build process too much and that after a visit to the Ascari race track, his preference has shifted toward something more extreme than his current car.

For those that aren’t familiar with the R8 above, suggesting that it isn’t extreme enough is like calling raw habanero peppers tangy. PPI, the tuning house responsible for Olsson’s toy, managed to massage the R8′s V10 engine to more than 600 hp.

It’s true, cars like the Lamborghini Aventador make a good bit more than that, but the Italian bull also weighs 3472 lbs. Olsson’s car, on the other hand, tips the scales at a giddying 1,320. For a dash of perspective, that’s almost 500 lbs lighter than a Smart ForTwo.

PPI and Olsson managed the near-miracle by replacing damn-near everything in the car with carbon fiber. Some €300,000-worth of work and parts later, the ridiculous hypercar you see here was born.

But the suede-covered interior and overall luxury seems to be too much for the athlete.
